If this is the first time you visit Vietnam, you may be down from the heaven to the hell as it takes 3 and a half hours by shutter bus from Hanoi to Halong Bay already and it will take that time to return Hanoi. It’s long and quite tired trip for nothing. So what will you do? Angry, disappointed, etc… The fact is you cannot change for this situation; however you will feel better if you think about this one before you go. Because in Vietnam the weather is changeable and the weather forecast is not good, this is a reason why you have to be informed suddenly like this. You should know some bad weather like storm in hot season (from May to August) and foggy, monsoons, cyclone and thunderstorm in cold season (from November to April next year) which makes the Management Board of Halong Bay have to inform to cancel the overnight cruises. When it happens with you unfortunately, you can consider some options as below:

– Option 1: If the cancellation is informed before you leave Hanoi to Halong Bay (you have not used any service yet): 100% refund. You can check with tour operator for another trip or change your departure date to the day before.

-Option 2: If the cancellation is informed during the trip (you have already used some services: transfer, lunch, day trip,…): you will have charge as 01 day cruises and refund the rest then back to Hanoi in late evening, about 9:00 to 10:00 pm or you can check with the tour guide on boat and contact with the tour operator to stay overnight in Halong city then back to Hanoi the day before.

-Option 3: If the trip is cut down from 3 days/2 nights to 2 days/1 night, we will charge as 2 days/1 night trip, plus other services you have already used and refund the remain amount.
